Planning, Quality and Innovation Department

The Planning, Quality and Innovation Department is responsible for:

• Preparing the Ministry's strategic plan, in coordination with the competent authorities and relevant administrative units, and taking the steps needed to adopt it.
• Identifying existing challenges, assessing anticipated institutional risks that may affect the Ministry's goals, and making proposals on them, in coordination with the relevant administrative units.
• Preparing and managing contingency plans to ensure the continuity of the Ministry's operations in emergencies and crises, in coordination with each administrative unit within its area of work.
• Submitting the draft executive plans, projects and programmes of the various administrative units to the Minister for approval.
• Following up on the implementation of plans related to the Ministry's activities, evaluating their results, and submitting periodic reports on them.
• Examining the problems and obstacles facing the implementation of the strategic and operational plans, and proposing appropriate solutions.
• Evaluating the quality of services provided by the administrative units, in coordination with the competent entity.
• Reviewing and evaluating performance quality across the administrative units, and proposing ways to raise their overall efficiency.
• Verifying that work systems and methods are consistent with the Ministry's competencies and objectives, proposing plans to develop them, and simplifying procedures, in coordination with the relevant administrative units and the competent entity.
• Studying work-related problems and obstacles in the Ministry, investigating their causes, and proposing appropriate solutions.
• Receiving and studying initiatives, suggestions and innovative ideas, in coordination with the relevant administrative units and the competent entity.
• Monitoring, collecting and analysing statistical data on the Ministry's activities, and coordinating with the competent administrative units on the statistical reports required from the Ministry.
• Coordinating with the relevant administrative units and the competent entity on international indicators related to the Ministry's activities and competencies.
