Qatar Affirms Israel's Accession to NPT Paves Ground for Middle East Peace
The State of Qatar has affirmed that Israel's accession to the Nuclear Weapons Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) and the application of comprehensive safeguards on its nuclear facilities prepare the ground not only for the establishment of a nuclear-weapon-free zone, but also for the establishment of a just and lasting peace in the Middle East.
The State of Qatar reiterated its commitment to bilateral and multilateral cooperation and coordination with the countries of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) within the framework of solidarity and a collective approach, emphasizing the active role of the movement in seeking to establish a just, equitable and rules-based global order, and praising the movement's valuable contributions in advancing international action on many issues, as an effective platform for joint action and the promotion of multilateralism.

HE the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani participated today in the meeting of Their Excellencies Foreign Ministers of the GCC, the Arab Republic of Egypt, the Republic of Iraq, and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan with HE US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, on the sidelines of the 77th session of the UN General Assembly in New York.
