Minister of State for International Cooperation

Her Excellency Maryam bint Ali bin Nasser Al Misnad


Her Excellency Mrs. Maryam bint Ali bin Nasser Al-Misnad was appointed Minister of State for International Cooperation at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, pursuant to Amiri Order No. (4) of 2024.

Before that, Her Excellency was appointed Minister of Social Development and Family by Amiri Order No. (4) of 2021. Throughout her career, she has held various prominent positions, including Executive Director of the Administrative and Financial Sector at the Doha Institute for Graduate Studies and Executive Director of the Orphan Care Center (Dreama).

Her Excellency has also served as Executive Director of the Center for Protection and Rehabilitation from Violence Against Women and Children (AMAN), Regional Director of Communication and Awareness Campaigns at the Education Above All Foundation, Director of the Media and Communication Department at the Social Rehabilitation Center (Al-Aween), and Executive Director of Childhood Cultural Center.

She holds a Bachelor's degree in Humanities and English Literature from Qatar University, as well as an Executive Master’s degree in Strategic Planning and Business Administration from HEC Paris.

Her Excellency is a member of several key committees within the country, including the Childhood Committee of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs. She is also a member of the Advisory Board of the College of Public Policy at Hamad Bin Khalifa University and the Advisory Board of the College of Public Administration at the Doha Institute for Graduate Studies. Her Excellency Maryam Al-Misnad has received numerous awards and honors for her outstanding contributions to social responsibility.

Notably, she has been twice recognized with the International Ambassador for Orphans Award in honor of her efforts to support orphans and improve their quality of life. She was the first Gulf woman to receive this distinction. Additionally, she was awarded the International Social Responsibility Excellence Award in 2021 by the Regional Partnership for Social Responsibility, in recognition of her efforts to promote societal values and contribute to sustainable development. Her Excellency has also received the Human Efficiency Award for her leadership in launching humanitarian initiatives focused on vulnerable groups, as well as the International Honorary Award for Empowering Persons with Disabilities. Her Excellency has led and contributed to numerous initiatives and projects, including the Empowerment for the Elderly Initiative, and efforts to create educational opportunities for disadvantaged communities in conflict and disaster areas, aimed at empowering vulnerable groups to access education.

She has also been involved in the Family Village Project, a comprehensive care program providing educational, health, and social support to orphans, as well as a range of community awareness campaigns. In the field of international humanitarian work, Her Excellency is renowned for her efforts, particularly in her role as Chair of the Advisory Board of the Center for Conflict and Humanitarian Studies at the Doha Institute for Graduate Studies. She has represented the State of Qatar on several international committees, including the Women’s Committee, the Disability Committee, and the Economic and Social Committee. Additionally, Her Excellency has chaired the Board of Directors of the Regulatory Authority for Charitable Activities.
