Biography
H.E. Mr. Ibrahim Sultan Ibrahim Al-Hashmi
The Media and Communication Department is responsible for:
- Preparing and issuing statements that present a positive image of the State to international public opinion, and responding to anything that may undermine its sovereignty and international standing, in coordination with the relevant authorities.
- Coordinating with newspaper correspondents, news agencies and local, Arab and foreign media, and providing them with the Ministry's press statements on events inside and outside the State.
- Monitoring, following up on and analysing daily events inside and outside the State through local, Arab and international news agencies and media, and preparing reports on them.
- Drafting the statements and press releases issued by the Ministry.
- Providing the missions abroad with news reports on national events in various fields.
- Publishing periodic magazines and media bulletins, and distributing them inside and outside the State.
- Coordinating and holding press conferences related to the Department's activities.
- Producing videos, photographs and visual aids related to the Department's areas of work.
- Providing interpretation and written translation of topics, documents, books, scientific research and foreign correspondence related to the Ministry's work.
