Biography
H.E. Ambassador Abdulrahman bin Saad Ahmad Al-Sulaiti
The Department of Control and Audit is responsible for:
- Drafting the annual audit plan for the Ministry's administrative units and missions abroad, submitting it to the Minister for approval, and preparing reports on the audit results.
- Monitoring compliance with the laws, regulations and decisions related to the Ministry's activities.
- Auditing the accounts of the administrative units and missions abroad, and verifying that their financial transactions and accounting entries comply with the applicable laws and rules.
- Monitoring procedures for staff appointments, leave, promotions and other personnel matters, and verifying compliance with the relevant laws, regulations and decisions.
- Detecting cases of negligence and financial and administrative violations, investigating their causes, and proposing ways to address them.
- Reviewing consular collections, carrying out the necessary cash counts for them and any other documents of financial value, and verifying that they match the entries and records.
- Reviewing financial instructions, proposing any necessary amendments, and monitoring their implementation.
- Monitoring the proper conduct of financial and administrative operations, and preparing reports on inspection visits and submitting them to the relevant authority in the Ministry.
- Ensuring the safety of funds and assets owned by or under the supervision of the Ministry.
- Taking part in inventories of warehouse contents and other assets.
