HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani received Friday a phone call from HE Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration and Egyptian Expatriates Affairs of the sisterly Arab Republic of Egypt. Dr. Badr Abdel Aati Discussions during the call dealt with cooperation relations between the two countries and means to support and develop them, in addition to the latest developments in the Gaza Strip and the occupied Palestinian territories; the latest developments in Syria; and a host of topics of common interest.

The State of Qatar has stressed the need for the UN General Assembly to shoulder its responsibility in accordance with the UN Charter towards the Palestinian cause, calling for support for the two draft resolutions that will be submitted to the General Assembly for adoption on December 11, which reflect common humanitarian values and obligations, and are consistent with the purposes of the Charter and the requirements of maintaining international peace and security, as their adoption represents the minimum duty to respond to the suffering of Palestinian victims.
