Doha/ 09 September 2014/ Qatar welcomed the formation of the new Iraqi government, headed by Haider Al Abadi, after gaining the confidence of the parliament. The Foreign Ministry, in a statement today, expressed Qatar's aspiration that the formation of the new government would bring a prosperous future for Iraq. The Ministry, in its statement, expressed the hope that this would be a step towards preserving the unity, security and stability of Iraq.
