Official Spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dr. Majed bin Mohammed Al Ansari announced that the State of Qatar successfully reunited 10 Ukrainian children and 4 Russian children with their families today as part of its mediation efforts to bring together children affected by the war between Russia and Ukraine.

Mr. Jassim bin Mohammed Al-Asmakh, Acting Director of the Department of American Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, participated in the meeting of their Excellencies Ambassadors of the Group of Latin American and Caribbean Countries (GRULAC). The meeting was hosted by the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Brazil to the State of Qatar and held at the Diplomatic Club. During the meeting, the prospects of cooperation between the State of Qatar and the Latin American and Caribbean Countries were reviewed.

Qatari passport holders travelling to the United States of America (US) for tourism and business purposes will be able soon to apply for a 90-day non-extendable travel authorization, an official source in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA)'s Department of Consular Affairs said. The move is pursuant to the State of Qatar's accession to the US Visa Waiver Program (VWP).
