It is a service that aims to add legal status to personal status documents for use outside the State of Qatar, which include:

  • Letters issued by government agencies to employees, whether Qatari citizens, or residents contracting with them.
  • Letters issued by institutions under the supervision of government agencies and departments of the State to citizens and residents.
  • Letters issued by diplomatic missions accredited to the State of Qatar.
  • Citizens’ letters issued by themselves attested by the Ministry of Justice, the Supreme Judicial Council, or the Ministry of Interior.
  • Letters of introduction, clearance and non-objection to residents issued by their companies and institutions that have membership in the Qatar Chamber, the Ministry of Social Development and Family or the Ministry of Commerce and Industry.
  • Contracts of employment with residents or partnership contracts and all what relates to partnerships and paperwork of employees of companies and institutions.

Eligibility Requirements

  • The document to be attested must include a set of seals and signatures, both live and ending with a seal and signature from Qatari missions abroad or foreign missions accredited to the Department of Consular Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
  • Governmental authorities in the State of Qatar are the competent authorities for attesting copies of documents issued by them (true copies).
  • The Department of Consular Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs shall refrain from attesting any document submitted for legalization that violates the regulations in force in the State of Qatar.

  • Special power of attorney
  • Surety deed
  • Property Sale Contract
  • Property Lease Contract
  • Mortgage Contract
  • Trust deposit deed
