HE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Sultan bin Saad Al Muraikhi received on Thursday a copy of the credentials of HE Ambassador of the Republic of South Sudan Ajang Moyick Ajang Tongbal.

The State of Qatar and the French Republic reaffirmed, in a joint communique issued on the occasion of the state visit of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani to the French Republic on February 27 and 28, the depth and breadth of their strategic partnership, and their rejection of the killing and starvation suffered by the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.

HE President of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq Nechirvan Barzani met HE Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Republic of Iraq Sultan bin Mubarak Al Kubaisi.

HE Minister of State for International Cooperation at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Lolwah bint Rashid Al Khater met with HE Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of the Netherlands Hanke Bruins, on the sidelines of the High-Level Segment of the 55th Session of the Human Rights Council, in session at the UN headquarters in Geneva.

On the sidelines of the visit currently being undertaken by HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani to Paris, Qatar and the French Republic launched an initiative for cooperation in the field of humanitarian aid to alleviate the suffering of Palestinian civilians besieged in the Gaza Strip.

Official Spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dr. Majed bin Mohammed Al Ansari said that what is happening to the brotherly Palestinian people by intentionally starving them in the north of Gaza and the strip in general, is a real catastrophe that cannot be tolerated, pointing out that the international community must clearly stand against this matter.

A threat of extermination is looming over hundreds of thousands of children in Rafah, in southern Gaza Strip, while thousands in northern the enclave are starving to death, the State of Qatar warned on Tuesday, urging the United Nations Human Rights Council (HRC) to stand firmly and strongly against the blatant international humanitarian law violations and collective punishment of civilian Palestinians.

HE Minister of State for International Cooperation at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Lolwah bint Rashid Al Khater met on Tuesday with HE Minister of State for European Affairs and Defense of the Republic of Ireland Peter Burke, on the sidelines of the High-level Segment of the 55th Session of the United Nations Human Rights Council, held at the UN office in Geneva.

HE Speaker of the House of the People of the Federal Republic of Somalia Sheikh Adan Mohamed Nuur Madobe met with HE Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Somalia Dr. Abdullah bin Salem Al Nuaimi.
