Director of Arab Affairs Department at Ministry of Foreign Affairs Meets with Director of MENA Programme at Geneva Centre for Security Sector Governance

His Excellency Mr. Nayef bin Abdullah Al-Emadi, Director of the Arab Affairs Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, met today with Mr. Ayman Ayoub, Director of the Middle East and North Africa Program at the Geneva Centre for Security Sector Governance, who is currently visiting Qatar.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed the existing cooperation between the State of Qatar and the Centre, and explored ways to enhance joint coordination on matters related to promoting human security in the region. The discussions focused in particular on recent developments concerning the Palestinian cause and on bolstering regional and international efforts to achieve stability in the Palestinian territories.
Mr. Ayoub commended the State of Qatar's important and pivotal role in supporting the Palestinian people. He also expressed the Geneva Centre’s interest in expanding cooperation with Qatari entities in the field of human security, building on its existing partnerships with several national institutions.
