Qatar Supports Arab World and Football Exhibition with 250,000 Euros

The State of Qatar provided financial support worth 250,000 Euros to the Arab World Institute for the Arab world and football exhibition which kicked off on Tuesday in Paris and will run till July 21.

HE Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the French Republic Ali bin Jassem Al-Thani handed over Qatar's support for the exhibition to HE President of the institute Jack Lang.

The president thanked Qatar for its support and for keeping up with the institute's events, which creates a space for interaction between Arab and French cultures.

HE the ambassador had participated in the opening of the exhibition, which was attended by HE French Minister of Foreign Affairs Jean-Yves Le Drian, a number of Arab Ambassadors accredited to France, French and Arab VIPs from the sports and football fields.

The State of Qatar participated in the engineering designs of the eight stadiums that were specially built to host the 2022 World Cup Qatar. The Qatar pavilion received great interest and admiration from the audience.

The State of Qatar has continued contributions to support the activities of the Arab World Institute in Paris and in 2015 allocated $2 million to the rehabilitation and equipping of the Arab World Institute.
