Qatar's Embassy Delivers Medical, Food Aid to Senegal

The Embassy of the State of Qatar to the Republic of Senegal delivered medical and preventive aid and food baskets, provided by "Qatar Charity" to Senegal, represented by the High Authority of Waqf (HAW), to assist in efforts to combat the Coronavirus (COVID-19).

The delivery of the aid was attended by Director General of the High Authority of Waqf (HAW) Halima Gob, a number of Senegalese government officials, and HE Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Senegal Mohammed bin Kurdi Talib Al Marri.

Halima Gob thanked the State of Qatar for its humanitarian initiative, and confirmed that HAW will continue its coordination and cooperation with Qatar Charity to achieve partnership with it in all fields.

For his part, HE Mohammed bin Kurdi Talib Al Marri affirmed that providing aid from the State of Qatar to the Republic of Senegal comes to support it in its efforts to combat the Coronavirus pandemic.

He said that the State of Qatar has seen, since the beginning of the Covid-19, that containing and eliminating the pandemic in the world needs cooperation and solidarity and that countries must support each other financially, morally and humanely.

He reiterated the strength of the bilateral relations between the two countries, and said that this aid is a vivid example of the distinction of relations.
