The State of Qatar has voiced its strong condemnation and denunciation of the attack that targeted a United Nations headquarters in Herat province, western Afghanistan, leading to the death of a guard and the injury of others.

In a statement issued today, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated the firm position of the State of Qatar on rejecting violence and terrorism, regardless of motives and reasons.

The Ministry expressed the State of Qatar's condolences to the families of the victim and to the government and people of Afghanistan, wishing the injured a speedy recovery.
