Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Holds Phone Call with UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs

HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, held a telephone conversation with HH Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the sisterly United Arab Emirates.
During the call, the discussion encompassed the review of cooperation relations between the two countries and the means to support and strengthen them, as well as deliberations on the latest regional developments, particularly the exerted diplomatic efforts and the joint coordination aimed at de-escalation and bolstering security and stability in the region.
His Excellency the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs emphasized during the call the necessity for all parties to adhere to dialogue and diplomacy, and to implement the agreements reached within the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding between the United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran. This includes ensuring freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz, with a view to safeguarding the security of the region, preserving the gains achieved, and promoting regional stability.
His Excellency reiterated the State of Qatar’s full support for all efforts aimed at defusing tensions and reaching a comprehensive agreement that would bring about sustainable peace in the region.
