Minister of State for International Cooperation Meets SCO Secretary-General

HE Minister of State for International Cooperation, Dr. Maryam bint Ali bin Nasser Al Misnad met Wednesday with HE Secretary-General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), Nurlan Yermekbayev.
The meeting took place on the sidelines of the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York. It focused on enhancing cooperation between the State of Qatar and the SCO in areas of common interest, particularly the humanitarian and development issues.
HE Al Misnad affirmed Qatar's keenness to build effective partnerships with regional organizations to enhance security, stability, and sustainable development.
For his part, HE the SCO Secretary-General praised Qatar's growing role in the international arena, its humanitarian contributions, and its initiatives in supporting development and multilateral cooperation.
The two sides agreed to continue consultation and coordination to serve common interests and strengthen bilateral ties.
