Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Meets Ireland's Deputy Prime Minister, Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade, and Minister for Defense

HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani met on Wednesday with HE Deputy Prime Minister, Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade, and Minister for Defense of the Republic of Ireland Simon Harris.

The meeting discussed cooperation relations between the two countries and ways to support and enhance them, particularly in the diplomatic, economic, trade, and investment fields, as well as energy, technology, artificial intelligence, and small and medium-sized enterprises. It also discussed the developments in the region, particularly in the Gaza Strip and the occupied Palestinian territories.

HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs voiced the State of Qatar and the Arab peoples' appreciation for the Republic of Ireland's positions on the Palestinian issue, particularly its recognition of the State of Palestine, stressing that Ireland represents a model of peace and reconciliation in the world.

For his part, HE the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade, and Minister for Defense of the Republic of Ireland expressed his country's appreciation for the State of Qatar's credible efforts aimed at resolving disputes through dialogue and diplomatic channels, and promoting peace, stability and development regionally and internationally. In this context, he extended his congratulations to HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs on receiving the Tipperary International Peace Award.

His Excellency also emphasized Ireland's solidarity with Qatar following the attack launched by the Iranian Revolutionary Guard on Qatar's Al Udeid Air Base.
