Qatar Participates in 9th international Conference in support of Syria

The State of Qatar participated in 9th international Conference in support of Syria, titled "Standing with Syria: Addressing the Needs for a Successful Transition," which was organized by the European Union in Brussels today.
The Qatari delegation was led by Her Excellency Minister of State for International Cooperation Maryam bint Ali bin Nasser Al Misnad
In her speech on behalf of the State of Qatar, Her Excellency emphasized that the conference is taking place at a critical moment, following years of hardship that have deeply affected the Syrian people.
Her Excellency highlighted Qatar's ongoing commitment to providing humanitarian and relief aid throughout the Syrian crisis, with total support exceeding two billion US dollars. This assistance reflects Qatar's firm belief in the Syrian people's right to live with dignity.
Her Excellency also mentioned Qatar's efforts since the onset of the Syrian revolution, driven by a sense of moral responsibility toward the Syrian people. Qatar has established an air bridge to deliver aid to Syria and has contributed to alleviating the humanitarian crisis. Additionally, Qatar has provided relief through border crossings and has supplied natural gas via Jordan to address the acute shortage of electricity and improve infrastructure in Syria.
Her Excellency Minister of State for International Cooperation reiterated Qatar's unwavering support for Syria and the aspirations of its people for freedom, development, and prosperity.
