Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Meets Russian Foreign Minister
Doha, February 26
HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani met at the Amiri Diwan on Wednesday with HE Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov, who is visiting the country.
During the meeting, they discussed cooperation relations between the two countries and ways to support and develop them, especially in the field of technology, in addition to the latest developments in the Russian-Ukrainian crisis.
The two sides also discussed developments in the Gaza Strip and the occupied Palestinian territories, and the State of Qatar's efforts within the joint mediation that contributed to reaching a ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip. Additionally, the meeting addressed the latest developments in Syria and Lebanon.
HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs reiterated the State of Qatar's position in support of all international efforts to find a peaceful solution to the Russian-Ukrainian crisis through dialogue and diplomatic means.
