Qatar, Guyana Hold Round of Political Consultations

The first round of political consultations between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar and Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Co-operative Republic of Guyana took place today in the capital, Georgetown.
The Qatari delegation was led by HE Foreign Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Co-operative Republic of Guyana Dr. Ahmed bin Hassan Al Hammadi, while the Guyanese delegation was headed by Secretary-General for Foreign Affairs Robert Persaud.
During the consultations, both sides discussed their bilateral relations and discussed various issues of mutual interest.
The meeting was also attended by Acting Charge d'Affaires at the Embassy of the State of Qatar to the Cooperative Republic of Guyana, along with the accompanying delegation.
