The Director of the Policy Planning Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs chairs a session entitled “The Role of Diplomacy and Dialogue in Combating Islamophobia and Anti-Semitism” within the Doha Forum sessions program

His Excellency Dr. Khalid bin Fahad Al Khater, Director of the Policy Planning Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, chaired a panel entitled: "The Role of Diplomacy and Dialogue in Combating Islamophobia and Anti-Semitism", organized by the New Ground Research Center, as part of the Doha Forum 2024 sessions program.
The participants in the session addressed the manifestations of contemporary Islamophobia and anti-Semitism. They also discussed the similarities and differences between the forms and implications of these hatreds, as well as the transformations in discourse within the media and politics.
Commenting on these two manifestations of hatred, His Excellency stated that they include multiple aspects, which necessitates dealing with them in a methodology that takes into account different contexts and the importance of sustainable cooperation between decision-makers and academics specializing in this field.
