Director of Policy Planning Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Participates in a Roundtable Titled "Palestine Forward: Activating Accountability Tools" within the Doha Forum

Dr. Khalid bin Fahad Al-Khater, Director of Policy Planning Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, participated today in a roundtable titled "Palestine Forward: Activating Accountability Tools," organized by the Project on Middle East Political Science and the Middle East Council on Global Affairs as part of Doha Forum 2024.

The session participants discussed developments in the region, their impact on the Gaza conflict, the possibility of a ceasefire, ways to enhance accountability tools, and the role of the international community, decision-makers, human rights organizations, and the private sector in this regard.

During the third session of the roundtable titled "Palestine and the Region, Identifying Strategic Opportunities," the Director of Policy Planning Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed in an opening speech that "Qatar remains steadfast in working with its partners in the Gulf Cooperation Council to support the rights of Palestinians and provide assistance, mediation, and humanitarian support at all levels. We will remain committed to our position on supporting the legitimate rights of the Palestinians and establishing a Palestinian state in accordance with the Arab Peace Initiative and relevant United Nations resolutions."
