Qatar Participates in High-level Conference on Dushanbe Process

The State of Qatar participated in the high-level conference on the Dushanbe process for combating terrorism, hosted by the State of Kuwait with the participation of a number of countries and international organizations.
HE Special Envoy of the Minister of Foreign Affairs Ambassador Faisal bin Abdullah Al Hanzab represented the State of Qatar at the conference.
Speaking at the conference, HE Ambassador Faisal bin Abdullah Al Hanzab affirmed the State of Qatar's commitment to collective efforts and coordination of cooperation in various fields to combat the scourge of terrorism, noting the importance of international cooperation in confronting security challenges and enhancing international peace and security.
The conference comes in the context of countries' commitment to strengthening counter-terrorism mechanisms and enhancing regional and international cooperation to ensure border security and prevent extremism. It is part of the United Nations' efforts to strengthen international partnerships in the field of combating terrorism.
