Qatar hosts humanitarian talks in Doha on the conflict between Ukraine and Russia

Qatar hosted a Ukrainian delegation in Doha to address pressing humanitarian issues. During the meeting with Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights Dmytro Lubinets, Minister of State for International Cooperation at the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs Lolwah Rashid Al Khater emphasized Qatar’s dedication to fostering a neutral platform for humanitarian engagement.

These discussions led to specific agreements on assisting civilians in difficult situations, including efforts to expedite the restoration of personal documents. 

In addition, the meeting facilitated the exchange of lists of missing military personnel and the exchange of letters from prisoners of war, providing a critical channel of communication and support for those affected by the ongoing conflict.

The State of Qatar expresses its appreciation to both sides for their constructive efforts and active participation in the discussions. The Ministry commends the spirit of cooperation and remains committed to supporting peaceful and humanitarian solutions in line with international law and humanitarian principles.
