The State of Qatar participates in the 130th Extraordinary Session of the Permanent Council of La Francophonie

The State of Qatar participated in the work of the 130th Extraordinary Session of the Permanent Council of the Francophonie, which was held via video and audio communication, under the chairmanship of Her Excellency Mrs. Louise Mushikiwabo, Secretary General of the International Organization of La Francophonie (OIF).
The State of Qatar was represented by His Excellency Sheikh Ali bin Jassim Al Thani, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the French Republic and Its Representative to the OIF.
Her Excellency Secretary General of the Francophonie opened the work of the Extraordinary Session.
The meeting discussed a draft resolution on the Republic of Guinea, calling for the lifting of the suspension of its membership in the Francophonie Organization based on the Bamako Declaration and the follow-up and evaluation mechanism adopted by the organization, which called on the transitional authorities in Guinea to continue the transition process in a spirit of dialogue and inclusiveness.
