Qatar's Permanent Delegation Participates in UN Event to Memorialize Sultan Qaboos

The permanent delegation of the State of Qatar to the United Nations participated in the memorial session held today for the late Sultan Qaboos bin Said bin Taimur of the Sultanate of Oman, by the United Nations General Assembly.
The memorial event was attended by the Secretary-General of the United Nations Antonio Guterres and President of the 74th session of the General Assembly Tijjani Muhammad-Bande.
The United States and regional groupings to the United Nations delivered speeches of remembrance, where the Republic of Sudan spoke on behalf of the Arab Group, Togo on behalf of the African Group, Denmark on behalf of the Group of Western European States, Azerbaijan on behalf of the Group of Eastern European States, Brunei Darussalam on behalf of the Asia Pacific Group, and Jamaica on behalf of Latin American and Caribbean group.
