Qatar's Embassy Organises Induction Day in Washington

The Embassy of the State of Qatar to the United States organized a day to get acquainted with Qatar in cooperation with the Redskins Club in Washington DC at FedEx Field.
As part of its ongoing partnership with Redskins, the event aims to briefed more than 40,000 Redskins and Detroit Lions fans on Qatar's culture and history as well as its preparations to host the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
The fans were also briefed, amid Qatari traditional music sounds, on the designs and models of the stadiums where the tournament's matches will be played.
During the second half of the match between the Washington Redskins and Detroit Lions, HE Qatar's Deputy Chief of Mission to the United States Dr. Hamad Mohammed Hussein Al-Muftah donated $150,000 from the Embassy to the Redskins Club. The donation, provided by the Embassy of Qatar for the second year in a row, will support physical education programs and promote the development of local youth sports implemented by the club.
Redskins announced during the match that the club will participate with the Embassy of the State of Qatar in the celebration that will be held by the Embassy on the occasion of the State Sports Day at the club's field on February 13.
