State of Qatar Participates in 50th Session of Arab Information Ministers Council

The State of Qatar participated on Wednesday in the 50th session of the Arab Information Ministers Council meeting that was held in Cairo.

The delegation of the State of Qatar was led by Qatar's Permanent Representative to the Arab League, HE Ambassador Ibrahim bin Abdulaziz Al Sahlawi.

The meeting discussed a number of issues regarding challenges facing the Arab region, especially the Palestinian cause and how to address the American decision to recognize Al Quds as a capital of the Israeli occupation state.

The ministers also discussed the role of the media in fighting terrorism, in achieving sustainable development, correcting the image of Arabs and Muslims in the West, and enhancing the capabilities of Arab media so it can help raise awareness on the most vital issues facing the region.
