Qatar Participates in Economic, Social Ministerial Level Meeting to Prepare for Arab Summit

Arab Ministers of Trade, Economy and Finance met on Thursday under the chairmanship of the Tunisian Minister of Commerce Omar Behi to prepare for the 30th Arab Summit which will be held on Sunday.

The Qatar delegation is led by HE Permanent Representative to the Arab League Ambassador Ibrahim bin Abdulaziz Al Sahlawi.

The meeting agenda includes topics such as the periodic convening of the Arab Economic and Social Development Summit, the Palestinian national foundation for economic empowerment, a proposal to establish the Arab consultative center to contribute to the investigation of maritime accidents and the executive plan for the Arab strategy for housing and sustainable urban development.

The meeting will also discuss issues related to Arab action in climate change negotiations, dealing with climate change issues, legitimacy of science and technology ethics in the Arab region, the Arab strategy for older persons and the Arab plan of action to address the social causes of terrorism (using ISIS as a model).
