Qatar, China Sign Agreement on Qatar's Participation in International Horticultural Exhibition

The State of Qatar and the People's Republic of China have signed an agreement on Qatar's participation in the International Horticultural Exhibition 2019 in Beijing.

HE Qatar's Ambassador to the China Sultan bin Salmeen Al Mansouri and HE Wang Jin Qin, representative of the Government of the People's Republic of China, signed the agreement.

The signing ceremony took place at the headquarters of the State of Qatar's mission in China.

HE the Ambassador said that Qatar's participation in the International Horticultural Exhibition is important to reflect the Qatari urbanization pattern, agriculture methods, gardens and tree species and the level of ecological civilization in the State of Qatar.

China, he said, has provided a huge area of 2,100 square meters to set up Qatar's pavilion, which will be distinguished as Qatar has gained good experience through its previous participation in international exhibitions.

He pointed out that the Ministry of Municipality and Environment will oversee the design and setting up of Qatar's pavilion, pointing out that a committee was formed to prepare for the International Horticultural Exhibition 2019 in Beijing and ensure the success of this participation.

At the end of the exhibition, Qatar's pavilion will be presented as a gift for the People's Republic of China to be kept in the international garden as a symbol of friendship and bilateral cooperation, His Excellency said.
