Foreign Minister Meets Iraqi Counterpart

HE Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani met Wednesday with HE Foreign Minister of Iraq Dr. Ibrahim Al Jaafari, in the course of his current visit to Doha.
The meeting discussed the bilateral relations and ways of enhancing them, especially in the fight against terrorism, as well as issues of mutual concern.
HE the Foreign Minister looked forwards further development in the Qatari-Iraqi relations, and underlined Qatar's keenness on Iraq's unity and the importance of the reconstruction of Iraq in order to achieve development and stability.
HE the Foreign Minister affirmed Qatar's firm position in support of Iraq in the face of extremism and terrorism.
For his part, the HE Iraqi Foreign Minister stressed his country's keenness to promoting cooperation with the State of Qatar in the field of security, economy and the fight against terrorism.
