Qatar Condemns Israel's Decision to Establish New Settlement in the Northwest of Occupied Jerusalem

The State of Qatar condemned Sunday the Israeli government's decision to establish a new settlement unit in the area of Qalandia Airport, in the northwest of occupied Jerusalem.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement today that the step is a violation of the rights of the Palestinian people to establish their independent state on the 1967 borders with Jerusalem as its capital.
The implementation of the decision would undermine international efforts for the two-states solution, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.
The statement called on the international community to assume their responsibility towards Israel by ending its settlement policy on occupied Palestinian territories.
