UN Alliance of Civilizations' Delegation Briefed on NHRC Functions

Director of the Legal Affairs Department of the National Human Rights Committee (NHRC) Jaber Al-Huwail, met today with a delegation from the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations.
The meeting discussed ways to enhance prospects for joint cooperation and matters of common concern.
The members of the delegation were briefed on the NHRC functions and its role in the promotion and protection of human rights.
Al-Huwail touched on the repercussions of the unjust siege imposed on the State of Qatar and its impact on the human rights situation.
