Building of Qatar Embassy in Somalia Severely Damaged by Mogadishu Explosion
Doha/ information office /15 October 2017/ HE Director of the Information Office at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Ambassador Ahmed bin Saeed Al Rumaihi said that the building of Qatar's Embassy in the Somali capital Mogadishu has been severely damaged by the explosion of a car bomb near the embassy building on the K5 Junction on Saturday evening.
HE Al Rumaihi said that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs contacted the embassy to check on the Qatari diplomats and the managers, as well as the rest of the Embassy staff, adding that HE the Charge d'affaires was slightly injured in the explosion but he is now in a good health, and the rest of staff are fine.
HE Al Rumaihi added that the Ministry contacted the Somali authorities to take all necessary measures to secure the safety of the staff of the embassy and their families.
