Foreign Minister Holds Meetings in New York
New York/Information Office/ 20 September 2017/ HE Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani met today with HE EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini, HE Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Republic of Italy Angelino Alfano, HE Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin, and HE Minister for Foreign Affairs of Australia Julie Bishop, on the sidelines of the 72nd session of the UN General Assembly.
The meetings discussed bilateral relations and means of developing them, in addition to the regional developments, especially in Syria, Libya and Yemen.
During the meetings, HE the Foreign Minister discussed the unjust siege imposed on the State of Qatar and all the humanitarian repercussions caused by the siege. His Excellency stressed that dialogue is the solution to the crisis.
