The State of Qatar has strongly condemned the attack on Egyptian police in northern Sinai, which resulted in the death and wounding of a number of policemen.

In a statement today, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated Qatar's firm stance rejecting violence and terrorism regardless of motives and reasons.

The statement expressed Qatar's condolences to the families of the victims and the Egyptian people.
