The State of Qatar Renews Call of Putting Syria War Criminals to Trial

The State of Qatar renewed Wednesday its call on the international community to present war criminals in Syria to international justice, after an independent UN investigation proved that the Syrian regime used Sarin gas in the Khan Sheikhoun massacre last April.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said today in a statement that leaving the perpetrators unpunished for their crimes will contribute to increasing the violence and violations against the Syrian people. The statement stressed on the importance of reaching a political resolution to the Syria crisis based on Geneva 1 and on related UN Security Council resolutions, in order to realize the demands of the Syrian people.
