Foreign Minister Meets U.S. Counterpart

HE Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani on Wednesday met U.S. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, during his current visit to the United States.
The meeting reviewed the strategic ties between the two countries and means of boosting and developing them in all fields.
HE the foreign minister briefed his U.S. counterpart on the developments of the Gulf crisis as well as all the measures taken by the siege countries and how they constitute serious violations of international treaties and conventions, and international law.
HE the foreign minister expressed satisfaction with the path and development of bilateral relations between the State of Qatar and the United States.
In addition, the meeting reviewed the recent events in the city of Jerusalem, with HE the foreign minister expressing the State of Qatar's denunciation of them and stressing the need for the international community to shoulder its responsibilities to stop the Israeli violations.
