Qatar Condemns Attacks on French Embassy in Athens, German Consulate in Afghanistan

Doha/Information Office/12 November 2016/ The State of Qatar on Saturday expressed its condemnation and denunciation of the attacks that targeted the French embassy in the Greek capital of Athens and the German general consulate in the city of Mazar-i-Sharif in Afghanistan, killing and wounding a number of people.
In a statement, the Foreign Ministry said these criminal acts are a flagrant assault on international norms, legislations and laws, stressing the State of Qatar's solidarity with the French Republic and the Federal Republic of Germany.
The Foreign Ministry renewed in its statement the State of Qatar's firm position rejecting violence and terrorism whatever their motives and causes were.
The statement extended sincere condolences to the families of the victims and to the governments and peoples of the two friendly countries.
