Algerian Prime Minister Meets Qatari Foreign Minister
Algiers/Information Office/12 November 2016/ Algeria's Prime Minister Abdelmalek Sellal met here today with Qatar's Minister of Foreign Affairs HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani, who is currently visiting Algeria During the meeting, they reviewed ties between the two brotherly countries and ways of enhancing them, and exchanged views on a number of issues of common concern, especially the Libyan issue.
They also discussed the joint cooperation in the economic fields, especially energy and industry sectors.
In a press statement after the meeting, HE the Minister of Foreign Affairs said the meeting reviewed the Libyan crisis, noting that this comes within the context of continuous contact between the State of Qatar and Algeria, and exchange of views on regional and international issues and coordination at international forums.
HE the Minister affirmed that the State of Qatar and Algeria agree on the importance of supporting the Libyan people to realize their hopes and aspirations for peace and security.
