HE Foreign Minister of Qatar Meets Tunisian President
Tunis/Information Office/11 November 2016/ Tunisian President Beji Caid Essebsi met today with HE Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani, who is on a visit to Tunisia.
At the outset of the meeting HE the Foreign Minister conveyed the greetings of HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani who wished the president and the people of Tunisia further progress and prosperity.
For his part, the Tunisian President asked HE the Foreign Minister to convey his greetings and wishes of further progress to HH the Emir and the Qatari people.
The meeting dealt with reviewing bilateral relations and the means to enhance them. They also discussed a number of issues of joint interest.
HE the Foreign Minister stressed in a statement made to the press after the meeting Qatar's keenness to take part in an international conference to support the Tunisian economy, set to take place in November 29-30 of 2016. His Excellency said that the State of Qatar is committed to supporting developmental projects in Tunisia. HE the Foreign Minister also expressed Qatar's appreciation to Tunisia's role in stabilizing the region.
