Qatar Denounces Netanyahu's Statement about Settlement in Occupied West Bank

Doha/information office / 01 September 2016 / The State of Qatar has expressed its condemnation of the statement issued by the office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's on the settlement decision in the occupied East Jerusalem. The Foreign Ministry, in a statement Thursday, stressed that the statement issued by Netanyahu's office which refuses the report of Nikolay Mladenov, the United Nations coordinator for the Middle East peace process, about the developments of the situation in the Occupied Palestine, proves the fact of the Israeli policies that reject peace and weaken opportunities of the two-state solution. The Foreign Ministry reiterated in its statement the State of Qatar's firm stance and policy in supporting the Palestinian cause as well as the Palestinian people and their authentic legitimate rights that must be protected. The statement also called on the International Community to shoulder all its legal, humanitarian and moral responsibilities to take a firm stance to compel Israel to comply with peace requirements, at a time of intensified international efforts to resume the peace process and save the two-state solution.
