Qatar Development Fund Provides $ 25 million Grant for Dams Construction in Mauritania
Doha/ Information Office/ 09 September 2015/ Qatar Development Fund signed today an agreement with the Mauritanian government under which the Fund provides a grant of $ 25 million for the construction of several dams in the Islamic Republic of Mauritania, within the framework of ties between the two brotherly countries. The agreement was signed for the Fund's by its Director General Khalifa Jassim Al-Kuwari, and for the Mauritanian government by Minister of Water and Sanitation Mohamed Ould Khouna. Under the grant three dams will be built with ranging in size from 20 to 50 million cubic meters. The work on the project will begin in the last quarter of this year, and will take 12 to 18 months.
