Minister of State for International Cooperation Meets Japan's Special Representative and Special Envoy for Middle East Peace

 HE Minister of State for International Cooperation at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Lolwah bint Rashid Al Khater met with HE Special Representative of Japan’s government and Special Envoy for the Middle East Peace, Uemura Tsukasa, who is visiting the country.

During the meeting, they discussed bilateral relations between the two countries and ways to support and upgrade them, in addition to discussing latest developments of the situation in the occupied Palestinian territories, especially the aggression on Gaza, ways for de-escalation and reinforcing joint cooperation to deliver humanitarian assistance to Gaza.

HE Minister of State for International Cooperation expressed, during the meeting, the State of Qatar’s steadfast position to condemn all forms of targeting civilians, schools and hospitals, adding that killing of innocent civilians, especially women and children and practicing collective punishment policy is reprehensible under any pretext.

She underscored the importance of not hampering the humanitarian truce efforts and the delivery of aid, along with the significance of coordinating regional and international efforts to stop the aggression on Gaza, as well as the strenuous work to achieve just and comprehensive peace.
