Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Jordanian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Discuss Developments in Palestinian Territories, Israel over Phone Call

HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani discussed in a phone call on Sunday with HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan Dr. Ayman Al Safadi the latest developments in the Palestinian territories and Israel and ways to halt escalation.
During the call, His Excellency expressed the State of Qatar's firm stance in condemning all forms of targeting civilians. His Excellency said that killing innocents, especially women and children, as well as practicing collective punishment is unacceptable under any pretext.
His Excellency stressed the need to open humanitarian corridors to ensure that relief and aid reach the Palestinian brothers who are under bombardment, especially in light of the deteriorating conditions in the Gaza Strip.
His Excellency also emphasized the need to coordinate regional and international efforts to stop the aggression against Gaza and work hard toward achieving a just and comprehensive peace.
His Excellency warned of the danger of attempts to force displace Palestinian people from Gaza, stressing the justice of the Palestinian cause, the legitimate rights of the fraternal Palestinian people, and their right to establish their independent state on the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
