Qatar Participates in Side Event on UNOCT Regional Programs in New York

The delegation of the State of Qatar participated in the side event on the regional program offices of the United Nations Office of Counter-Terrorism (UNOCT), on the sidelines of the Third Counter-Terrorism Week (CT Week) in New York.
Assistant Director of the International Organizations Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Sheikha Hanouf bint Abdulrahman Al-Thani, while delivering the statement of the State of Qatar before the event, highlighted the distinguished partnership and cooperation relations between the State of Qatar and the UNOCT, especially the efforts exerted to activate work to counter terrorism at the regional and international levels.
She affirmed that the presence of the International Hub on Behavioral Insights to Counter-Terrorism and the UN Office of Parliamentary Participation in Doha is the fruit of the successful cooperation between the State of Qatar and the United Nations Office of Counter-Terrorism.
Sheikha Hanouf bint Abdulrahman Al-Thani stressed that the State of Qatar's hosting of both offices shows its strong and unwavering commitment to addressing global challenges in the field of combating terrorism.
She expressed the State of Qatar's aspiration to continue its partnership with the UNOCT, and to strengthen it in order to contribute to providing effective programs and initiatives in the field of eliminating the scourge of terrorism and violent extremism.
