Embassy of the Cooperative Republic of Guyana Opens in Doha

The Embassy of the Cooperative Republic of Guyana in the State of Qatar was opened in Doha on Tuesday.
HE President of the Cooperative Republic of Guyana Dr. Mohamed Irfaan Ali, and HE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Sultan bin Saad Al Muraikhi cut the ribbon to announce the opening of the embassy.
In his speech at the opening ceremony, the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs congratulated the Cooperative Republic of Guyana on the opening of the embassy building, hoping that it would constitute a starting point towards progress and push forward relations between the two countries.
Since their inception in 1996, the bilateral relations between the two friendly countries have been witnessing remarkable development in many fields, he noted.
His Excellency affirmed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' keenness on providing all possible facilities to further support and strengthen bilateral relations at all levels, especially in the economic, political and cultural fields in order to attain the aspirations of the leadership of the two friendly countries and peoples.
