The diplomatic, consular and representative missions of the State of Qatar abroad continued their celebrations on the occasion of Qatar National Day, which falls on December 18 every year, in memory of the founder of the State, Sheikh Jassim bin Mohammed bin Thani, under the slogan "Our Unity is Source of Our Strength".

Their Excellencies, the heads of the diplomatic, consular and representative missions of the State of Qatar abroad extended their highest congratulations and blessings to HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, HH the Father Amir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani, and all the Qatari people on this cherished occasion, wishing the State of Qatar further progress and prosperity.

The Qatari diplomatic celebrations in the capitals and cities of the world enjoyed high-level official and popular participation, reflecting Qatar's distinguished relations with the countries of the world.

In Algiers, the embassy of the State of Qatar to the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria held a ceremony on the occasion of the National Day, which was attended by HE Algerian Minister of Youth and Sports Abderezak Sebgag, HE Minister of Tourism and Handicrafts Yacine Hammadi, HE Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Mohamed Abdelhafid Henni, HE Vice-President of the Peoples National Assembly Munther Bouden, and HE Major General Abdelaziz Haouam, Territory Air Defense Forces Commander and Personal Representative of HE Chief of Staff of the People's National Army Lt. Gen. Said Chanegriha.

The ceremony was also attended by the heads of diplomatic missions and international organizations in Algeria, a number of representatives of State agencies, businessmen, intellectuals, artists, media, human rights and public figures.

During the ceremony, HE Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Algeria Abdulaziz Ali Al Naama honored the heads of missions of the countries that won the top three places in the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.

For his part, HE Munther Bouden, on behalf of the National People's Assembly, honored HE the Ambassador of the State of Qatar, in recognition of Qatar's efforts in organizing the World Cup.

In Stockholm, the embassy of the State of Qatar to the Kingdom of Sweden held a ceremony on the occasion of the National Day of the State, which was attended by HE Director General for International Development Cooperation at the Swedish Ministry of Foreign Affairs Helen Eduards as guest of honor, a number of Their Excellencies deputies, senior civil and military officials, heads of Arab and foreign diplomatic missions and military attaches accredited to Sweden.

The ceremony was also attended by representatives of political, economic, social, academic and sports bodies, a number of representatives of think centers, studies, the press and religious delegations.

In a speech at the ceremony, HE the Director General of International Development Cooperation at the Swedish Ministry of foreign Affairs congratulated the State of Qatar on its National Day, and said that the National Day of the State is an opportunity to show the development of bilateral relations between the two countries, pointing to the holding of the second round of political consultations between the two ministries of foreign affairs and high-level mutual visits.

She expressed her country's aspiration to strengthen cooperation with Qatar in various fields. She also praised the reforms implemented by the State of Qatar.

During the ceremony, the elite friends of the State of Qatar in the kingdom of Sweden were honored for their efforts in strengthening bilateral relations between the two friendly countries, and a Swedish football player performed, a live musician played, and a collection of Qatari folk paintings and costumes using modern technology was presented.

The Qatari Al Maha band presented heritage and popular segments highlighting the authentic Qatari culture and heritage, and various competitions were held at the ceremony with the participation of Qatar Tourism and Qatar Airways.

In Tokyo, Qatar Embassy in Japan held a celebration on the occasion of Qatar National Day.

The ceremony was attended by HE State Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan TAKEI Shunsuke, HE Minister for Digital Transformation of Japan Taro Kono, HE Chief Representative of the New Komeito Party, and a number of officials, members of the National Diet of Japan, as well as head and representatives of diplomatic missions in Japan.

In Djibouti, Qatar Embassy in the Republic Djibouti held a celebration on the occasion of Qatar National Day.

The ceremony was attended by HE President of the National Assembly of Djibouti Mohamed Ali Houmed, HE Djibouti's Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and official spokesman for the government Mahamoud Ali Youssouf, HE Djibouti's Minister of Interior Said Nouh Hassan, and a number of ministers, senior officials, heads and members of diplomatic missions, as well as representatives of regional and international organizations in Djibouti.

In his speech during the ceremony, HE Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Djibouti Rashid bin Shafie Al Marri said that Qatar National Day is a dear occasion that reflects the cohesion and solidarity of the people of Qatar, manifests the meanings of pride of the homeland and the loyalty to the ancestors for their eternal sacrifices, and gratification for the wise leadership of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, the leader of the march of achievements, development, and bright future. His Excellency pointed out that celebrating Qatar National Day commemorates the founding of the State of Qatar by the late Sheikh Jassim bin Mohammed Al-Thani.

His Excellency added that celebrating Qatar National Day is of particular significance this year as it coincides with Qatar's hosting of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, as both events constitute a chance to showcase the unity and culture of the people of Qatar to the world, as well as introduce the bright side of Qatar's history and culture and the extent of its belief in civilizational coexistence with all other cultures and how proud the State of Qatar is of its Arab and Islamic values.

For his part, HE Djibouti's Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and official spokesman for the government praised the bilateral relations between the two countries and the State of Qatar's successful hosting of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
In Lima, Qatar Embassy in the Republic of Peru held a celebration on the occasion of Qatar National Day.

The ceremony was attended by representatives of the Peruvian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, a number of public figures and businessmen, in addition to heads and representatives of Arab and foreign diplomatic missions accredited to Peru, members of the Qatar mission, the attache, and local employees.

The ceremony included various segments on Qatar's hosting of the 2022 FIFA World Cup Qatar.

In Dhaka, Qatar Embassy in the People's Republic of Bangladesh held a celebration on the occasion of Qatar National Day.

The ceremony was attended by HE Bangladesh Minister of Expatriates' Welfare and Overseas Employment Imran Ahmed, HE Bangladesh Chief of Army Staff General SM Shafiuddin Ahmed, senior government and military officials, members of Bangladesh National Parliament, representatives of political parties, heads of diplomatic missions and international organizations, members of the diplomatic corps accredited to the People's Republic of Bangladesh, businessmen, media personnel, and public figures. Qatar Airways, Qatar Charity, and Qatar Red Crescent Society also participated in the ceremony.

In Zagreb, the Embassy of the State of Qatar to the Republic of Croatia held a celebration on the occasion of the National Day.

The ceremony was attended by a number of officials and a number of ambassadors and diplomats accredited to Croatia, in addition to the embassy staff, including diplomats and employees.

In San Jose, the Embassy of the State of Qatar to the Republic of Costa Rica celebrated the National Day.

The ceremony was attended by HE Second Vice President of the Republic of Costa Rica Mary Munive Angermuller, HE Minister of Women's Affairs Cindy Quesada, a number of Their Excellencies ambassadors and representatives of missions and international organizations accredited to Costa Rica, and a number of parliamentarians, businessmen and intellectuals.

HE Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Republic of Costa Rica Dr. Khamis bin Rashid Al Kaabi noted in his speech the progress achieved by the State of Qatar in many fields. His Excellency praised the distinguished relations between the State of Qatar and the Republic of Costa Rica and their common interest in developing bonds of friendship and cooperation.

For her part, HE the Vice President of the Republic of Costa Rica congratulated the State of Qatar on the occasion of the National Day, and noted the development of relations between the two countries, wishing further progress in strengthening these relations in many fields and achieving more joint cooperation.

In Buenos Aires, the Embassy of the State of Qatar to the Argentine Republic held a celebration on the occasion of the National Day.

The ceremony was attended by a number of officials of the Argentine Republic, a number of Arab and foreign ambassadors accredited to Argentina, representatives of the Argentine air and armed forces, members of the Senate and Representatives, a number of senior businessmen, representatives of oil and gas companies, as well as media, intellectual and sports personalities, and a group of intellectuals, academics and university professors, in addition to researchers, clerics, heads of Islamic centers, local and international organizations and associations concerned with human rights, and representatives of civil society.

In Bamako, the Embassy of the State of Qatar to the Republic of Mali organized a ceremony on the occasion of Qatar National Day.

The ceremony was attended by HE Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Republic of Mali Abdoulaye Diop, a number of officials, parliamentarians, leaders of parties and organizations, businessmen, heads and members of diplomatic missions accredited to Mali, leaders and representatives of the media.

HE Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Mali Ahmed bin Abdulrahman Al Sunaidi affirmed in his speech the great occasion of the National Day, which reflects the coherence and cohesion of the people of Qatar as well as reflects the meanings of pride in the homeland and loyalty to the fathers and grandfathers, and pride in the wise leadership of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, and the great achievements that were achieved during his auspicious era.

The speech touched on the State of Qatar's hosting of the 2022 FIFA World Cup, adding that the celebrations of the National Day are greater this year because they coincide with the great success achieved by the country in organizing this major international event. He stressed that the World Cup showed the civilized identity of the state, and demonstrated its economic, security and administrative capabilities. His Excellency also discussed the great role played by the State of Qatar in promoting international peace and security, and supporting all efforts to promote civilized and cultural openness among the peoples of the world.

His Excellency praised the development of the friendship and cooperation relations between the State of Qatar and the Republic of Mali in various fields, stressing the determination of the two countries to strengthen and expand these relations in various fields. He reaffirmed the commitment of the State of Qatar to support the efforts of the Republic of Mali to establish peace, security and stability, combat terrorism and advance development.

In Tunis, the Embassy of the State of Qatar in the Republic of Tunisia organized a celebration on the occasion of the National Day.

The ceremony was attended by HE Minister of National Defense Imad Mamish, representing the Tunisian government, HE Minister of Youth and Sports Kamal Daqish, HE Minister Advisor to the President of the Republic Mustapha Ferjani, HE Advisor to the President of the Republic Walid Al Hajjam, and a number of heads of diplomatic missions and diplomats accredited to Tunisia.
