Qatar Participates in UNCCD 15th Session of Conference of the Parties

The State of Qatar participated in the fifteenth session of the Conference of the Parties (COP15) of the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD), which took place in Abidjan, Cote d'Ivoire.
The State of Qatar was represented at the conference by HE Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Republic of Cote d'Ivoire Jaber bin Jarallah Al Marri.
The COP15 theme, 'Land. Life. Legacy: From scarcity to prosperity', is a call to action to ensure land, the lifeline on this planet, continues to benefit present and future generations. The conference aimed to create political momentum and raise ambition in particular in meeting the 2030 global commitments on recovery and strong actions that build resilience in drought-prone communities.
