Ministry of Foreign Affairs Celebrates Arab Human Rights Day

As part of Qatar's celebration of Arab Human Rights Day, which falls on March 16 of each year, the Human Rights Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs held a celebration on this occasion on Wednesday at Oxygen Park in Education City.
The celebration of Arab Human Rights Day this year comes under the slogan 'The right to a healthy, safe and sustainable environment.'
The ceremony was attended by HE Director of the Human Rights Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dr. Turki bin Abdullah Al Mahmoud, Assistant Undersecretary for Environment and Climate Change Affairs at the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change Eng. Abdullah Juma Al Muraikhi, and a number of school students.
In a statement on this occasion, the Human Rights Department indicated that its celebration of this day, in cooperation with the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change and the education sector of the Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development, came in order to introduce Arab Human Rights Day, in addition to raising awareness of the importance of preserving the environment, which is one of the inherent rights guaranteed by the Arab Charter on Human Rights.
